Information we may process

You can use the website without creating an account. There are no user accounts and nothing is sold on the website at the moment, so the website does not collect names, addresses or payment information.

Calculator information

Calculator entries are processed in your browser and are not sent to or stored by the website. The only exception is the foreign exchange calculator, which sends the chosen currencies and dates to our server to look up exchange rates. You should not enter sensitive personal information into calculator fields.

Files in the Tools section

The PDF and file tools in the Tools section process your files in your own browser. The files are not uploaded to UtilityRanch or to any other service, and they are not stored: they disappear when you close or refresh the page. The finished file is created on your device and saved only where you choose to download it. The unit converters also work entirely in your browser.

Planners and trackers in the Templates section

What you enter in the planners and trackers is saved only in your own browser (its local storage), so your work is still there when you come back. It is not sent to us while you work. You can delete it with the tool's Reset button or by clearing your browser's data for this site. When you download a file (Excel, CSV or PDF), the table data is sent to our server only to create the file, and the file is returned to you straight away. The data is not stored or logged.

Technical information

The website is hosted by Render (render.com) on servers in Frankfurt, Germany, within the EU. When you visit the website, its servers automatically process technical information such as IP addresses, browser and device information, requested pages, access times and error logs. This information is used to operate, secure and troubleshoot the website.

Contacting us

If you contact us by email, we may process your email address, message and any other information you choose to provide. This information is used to respond to your message and handle the matter you contacted us about.

Cookies and analytics

The website does not use advertising or analytics cookies and does not track visitors. The planners save your entries in your browser's local storage, as described above, and that information stays on your device. This notice will be updated before any analytics, advertising or payment services are introduced.

Third-party services

The foreign exchange calculator gets exchange rates from the Frankfurter service, which uses European Central Bank reference rates. Our server makes this request, so your IP address is not passed on to Frankfurter. The website does not load fonts, scripts or other content from other companies' servers. Render hosts the website, and Zoner (Finland) provides the domain name and the mailbox for our contact email. They process limited information only to provide these services.

Future purchases

Nothing is sold on the website at the moment. Paid premium tools are planned for the future. Before purchasing opens, this notice will be updated to explain what information is processed for purchases and which payment provider is used.

How long information is kept

Personal data is kept only for as long as it is needed. The technical server logs are kept by Render for at most 30 days and then deleted automatically; we do not keep copies of them. Emails are kept as long as needed to handle your message and are then deleted, unless the law requires keeping them longer. What you save in the planners stays in your own browser until you delete it.

Your privacy rights

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may have the right to request access to your personal data, correction or deletion of that data, restriction of processing, data portability or to object to processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent.

Complaints

If you believe that your personal data has been processed incorrectly, you may contact us. You also have the right to submit a complaint to the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman in Finland or another competent supervisory authority.

Changes to this notice

This privacy notice may be updated when the website, its features or the services used by it change. The current version will be published on this page.
